How to Feel Comfortable in Your Engagement Session

Most people I work with aren’t professional models—and that’s exactly what I love. Your engagement session isn’t about looking like someone else. It’s about feeling like you.

Here’s how we make that happen:

🧸 1. Wear what feels like you

Skip the stiff clothes you’d never wear in real life. Wear something you feel confident in, like you’re going on a really good date. Bonus points for textures, layers, and movement (flowy skirts, cozy knits, etc.).

If you feel like yourself, you’ll look like yourself. Promise.

🎶 2. Choose a location that lights you up

We can shoot in your favorite park, your neighborhood, your backyard, a bookstore, the beach—whatever makes you feel at home or alive. The best photos happen when the place feels like part of your story.

Got an idea? I’m all ears.

👫 3. You don’t need to “pose”

I’ll guide you every step of the way with prompts that bring out natural connection—think movement, laughter, and little moments. It’s like a chill hangout with a third wheel who gives great photo direction (that’s me).

💛 4. Nervous is normal

Most couples feel awkward at first. That’s okay. You’ll warm up fast—we’ll talk, walk, laugh, and take breaks. You don’t need to be “photogenic.” You just need to show up.

✨ 5. Your love is the magic

Seriously. The way you look at each other, laugh together, and hold hands—that’s the good stuff. It’s not about perfect poses. It’s about telling your story.

💬 Still unsure? Let’s chat. I’ll help you pick outfits, plan your location, and give you all the good vibes so you feel totally ready.
